Somewhat of a megaton update

I'm supposed to be writing a huge update for everything that has happened since the Cake show, but I won't do that. I'm going to start with late Summer vacation when I joined my first band.
Sometime late summer, my guitar teacher and good friend, Greg Burke, told me that a group of kids were going to start a band and wanted me to be in it. He gave me the leaders name and phone number. His name was Jason Knott. I called him up and he said that I could audition that day. I went to his house and auditioned for the soon to be quartet. I got the job as a guitarist. The band members ended up being really cool.
Before an interview with our band, Jason told me that I got in the Instrumental Ensemble class that I signed up for before high school. When he told me that it was a percussion class, I was a little disappointed, but I came to love it.
I went for the week of drumline and the two weeks of band camp not knowing exactly what was going on, but I loved the people in it right away. I found out at the end of band camp that it was marching band. I was originally on 1st bass drum, but I got switched to synthesizer after some toubles with the sun and marching.
Since then, I've become good friends with almost everyone in my section that goes by the name "pit". I like to talk to Tyler, Wes, Rheena, Amber, and Tommy. They're good people. We've played a number of football games and had our first competition on Sunday. We got second place in our class.
Sorry if that wasn't a huge update, but I think I included everything important. I'll probably write about our daily practices and performances from now on.

tired
music: Beck "Hotwax"
Instead of making an entry on the whol day, I'm going to just write about the show for anyone who wants a good description of the whole damn thing. I'm a skip Gomez even though they were good.
The Cake Show:
It took what seemed like forever for the band to make it to the stage. About twenty minutes, I'd guess. And people were getting really impatient, shouting and whatnot. After the long wait, the first member came onstage.
When they finally made it to stage, the shouting, screaming, and clapping was almost deafening (I added to it, of course). There was no talking introduction, but John McCrea bowed and all that stuff. He picked up his slightly damaged acoustic and started playing the intro to "Frank Sinatra." It was a normal Cake show. John's hand gestures, the introductions to songs, and the mood. I don't remember all of the songs in order, but I will try to get as close as I can.
It was something like this:
1. Frank Sinatra
2. Sheep go to Heaven
3. Sad Songs and Waltzes
4. Mexico
5. Satan is my Motor
6. Daria
7. Wheels
8. Carbon Monoxide
9. A song I sadly don't know the name of
10. The Distance
Right then they said the show was over, but the fans wanted more. Everyone was shouting "CAKE! CAKE! CAKE!" Amazingly, they came back out. I figured it was just to say goodbye one last time, but instead, John walked over and whispered something in Vince's ear. Vince then walked over to his keyboards and played the easily remembered intro to "Comfort Eagle." Everyone shouted crazier than ever right there. The song was definately the greatest in the show. That song has got to be the coolest song ever live. It's so powerful and everyone sings.
After the powerful performance of "Comfort Eagle," John went over to Vince, and again, whispered something in his ear. I thought for sure they were going to close with "I Will Survive," but I was wrong. They closed with the less powerful, but just as catchy and well-known to the fans "Never There." Everyone sang along with that one too.
I might have some of the songs in the wrong place, but that's close.
It was the first concert I've ever been to because I wanted to go. Cake puts on such an awesome, but simple show. I don't think I'll see anything like it for awhile.

Whatever

mood:
hopeful
music: The Who "Boris the Spider"
I think I'm going to start writing in this more often. I need to. I always forget to write about my days. I'll skip a couple of days I missed and start with yesterday.
Yesterday was a fantastic day. I got woke up with a headache, but fortunately it wasn't that bad. It went away in like thirty minutes. I went to my guitar lesson at 1:30. It was a little bit of a review lesson, but that's always good. When I got hom I reveived a phone call from Savana. She invited me over, which was pretty cool because I was going to call later to see if I could go over.
I got to her house around three. We sat down and listened to music and stuff for about fifteen minutes before Clay showed up. I had no idea he was coming. It was a suprise to me. At first I was a little uncomfortable. I get like that for some reason. It doesn't take long to get comfortable though.
Clay brought over the movie Almost Famous. I'd heard about it, but never seen it. The movie was pretty good for a recent movie. Hehe. It was like a rock documentary thing, except the main character was a journalist traveling with the band Stillwater. The drama didn't suck, and the comedy was never stupid.
After the movie, Savana's mom could tell we were bored so she decided to take us out for dinner. It took awhile for a us to do decide what we wanted. We ended up deciding on Chili's. It was a good place. It was crowded when we first got there, but within thirty minutes most of the people left. I got a huge-ass hamburger that I was a little afraid to eat at first. My first few bites were just bread. The burger was delicious though. I really love Chili's fries too. It was a satisfying dinner.
This morning I woke up headache-free. That's always nice on the weekends. I was feeling pretty good until my sister told me she talked to some of my friends. She ended up talking to Dillon. That was a good and a bad thing. I guess Dillon thought I was mad at him, and I could see why. Eric and I were saying some stuff. I was just joking around with Eric saying this stuff about Dillon. I don't think he actually thought I was mad at him until he ended up getting accidentally invited to a chat. As soon as he got in, I left. He wasn't the reason I left though. Savana and Alanna had been re-inviting me over and over again and I was busy. I the second time I actually accepted the invite was to tell them that I didn't want to be in it. I saw Dillon's screen name appear as another person in the chat and that was like when I left. It probably seemed like I was trying to avoid him or something. That wasn't it at all. My sister told me he thought I disliked him and she showed me the AIM log from when she talked to him. I was kind of upset reading what he was saying. And later in the conversation he was beginning to think my sister was me. Next time I get the chance to talk to him I think I'm going to appologize for the misunderstanding. He's a good friend and I don't want him thinking I'm as much as an idiot as I would be if the whole thing was true. I really hope that all gets solved soon.
Later on in the day I didn't really do much at all. I played the guitar and learned a couple of songs and whatnot. It was a boring day but I managed to stay in a good mood.
Oh yeah, and I missed the American Dad premiere. Somebody should slap me for that.

The Internet
Jan. 30th, 2005 | 10:31 am
mood:
cheerful
music: Deep Purple - Child In Time
I got the internet back like three days ago but I haven't felt like updating until today. So, whatever.
Hokai, so on Thursay I was telling everyone (everyone as in Nick and Savana) at school that I was going to get the internet back that day. I wasn't really sure but I had high hopes. So after school I asked my mom if we could go to the place and she said ye. So we went there and it was so incredibly easy. She signed a sheet and they activated it right there. I just had go home and install all the stuff and then I was online. That was pretty cool.
I'm gonna skip Friday. Friday was gay except for something that Kyle kept doing at lunch that was hilarious. But yesterday was great. I woke up at like ten and waited about an hour to go online. Not to long after I was online, Savana started a chat. That chat was really cool. It included: Me, Savana, Eric, Alanna, and Nick for a little bit. That chat went on for a really long time. It was like one to six. It was hilarious. Me and Eric talking about stuff and findout that we were a lot alike and stuff. I'm not going to go into detail with what we were talking about in the chat because there was a lot of stuff.
Now today. I just woke up about an hour ago and I woke up headache-free. That doesn't happen much on the weekends. I ate a bowl of cerial and went right to the computer. My mom was going to the store so I asked her if she could buy a cd for me and amazingly she said yes. Now I'm talking to Eric and waiting for her to return to see if she got what I wanted.

An actual update
Oct. 14th, 2004 | 05:10 pm
mood:
happy
music: Beethoven - Moonlight Sonata
I think I'll do an actual update today cause it was such a damn good day.
I got a good amount of sleep last night for the first time in awhile. I always end up waking up at like three and my parents are gone so I kind of freak out and it takes me awhile to fall back to sleep. I don't know why I get so panicky. Yeah.
I woke up and I didn't feel tired at all. That was pretty cool. I could already tell it was going to be a good day.
School was good. My first hour is computers and we've been working in Microsoft Excel. It's not fun but it's not too boring either. Before we started working the teacher was out of the room and this little weird kid was angry at another kid cause he wouldn't let him see his pillow. He gets angry over the stupidest things. He wanted to fight the other kid but the other kid was smart and didn't want to. The other kid would have beaten the crap out of Aaron and it wouldn't have been good. Aaron kept saying "My dad told me to fight under any circumstances." And then another kid said "Well your dad is gay." Of course Aaron got up and threatened to beat the crap out of the kid. I used to feel sorry for Aaron but now I found out that he causes alot of trouble. He's a real jerk actually. He just wants to fight about everything. If the other kids actually did fight him he'd get hurt bad. He's a little chubby nerdy kid so yeah.
Second hour was Gym. I really like that class even though everyone in it hates our little group. I always hang out with Nick and Steven and all the other kids hate us because we're always like laughing and standing away from the fields and talking and frestyle coning and stuff. Yeah. When we were walking to the track Aaron was all "You jerks need to stop talking." I never talk when we're not supposed to. It's just Steven. Me and Nick stay quiet. But anywho I said "I wasn't talking in the locker room. I never do." Aaron said "Oh yeah. Tell me another good one." And was all "Okay! Two muffins were in a microwave and one says 'Man it's hot in here.' So the other says 'Holy shit a talking muffin." We were all laughing so hard and Aaron said "You guys are fags." Or something like that. Everone's always dropping the F-bomb in that class. They call me Nick and Steven the same name everyday. "Fucking queers."
Third hour is math. We took a little post-test. I think I did okay. I wasn't very sure about the last few problems but I think I did okay. Kyle was shooting me with rubber bands and he in an accent was all "Hey Ludvig.(him and Nick call me that in math) Ve are really going to turn to sviss cheese today." I'm not sure what that means but he keeps saying it.
I'll skip fourth hour. It was science and we watched a lame video about drugs.
Fifth hour we started to watch that "Holes" movie. It was okay. It was better than freakin' Spirit which we had to watch in English. I drew stuff while the movie was on. I like fifth hour. It's this class I have because I was absent so much lat year. There's only like eight kids in it. I'm friends with all of them. It's a fun class.
Sixth hour was English. We watch Spirit. That movie was gay. I hate horses. They always try to make them look beautiful and free in movies. I think they stink and look weird. That movie had that stupid humor in it that everyone in the class including the teacher laugh at but I just sit there all "Wtf?" Yeah.
Today was a damn good day I think it's going to get even better.

Me and Nick came up with a great idea today. It's called freestyle cone. You like break dance with a cone. Or something. We're thinking about making a video of it. I made a cover of for the video too.

I haven't updated for awhile cause I've been like sick as crap. Or something. Yeah. I had tonsilitus or whatever and I could hardly talk and I had a fever and all that bullhonkey. Yeah.
Last night I made a real neat song. It's called "The Chug Driven Stomp." I called it that cause it's like stomp metal. I'm mumbling stuff that rhymes with stomp and then I say "It's the chug driven stomp." For example: "Bleep bam pow pomp! It's the chug driven stomp!"
I feel a lot better now. I'm getting ready to go to samash with my brother to get a new guitar. Hooray and stuff.

Man, tonight was crazy.
It was mid-afternoon and I didn't really feel like talking to anyone for a little bit so I put up an away message and watched tv in my room. I ended falling asleep. I was woken at about 8:30PM by the sound of glass shattering. My sister screamed for my dad. My sister's friend was having like a stroke orm something. We didn't know it then. We just thought she was queezy or something. Then my dad was yelling trying to get her to talk and she just eventually passed out. Shortly before she passed out my dad called the ambulence. They got here about the time she passed out. They were trying to get her to speak but she was uncontious. Now they can't do anything to her until her parents know and we have no way of getting a hold of their cheap-asses. They don't have a phone number and their adress isn't in the phonebook. Yeah. So now we have to wait another 30 minutes till my mom gets home to tell her parents. Shit.
Sorry. No paragraphs.
